How it started

We started Little Willow Homestead with the intention of feeding our own family and friends with high quality, home grown food. We started with one breeding pair of rabbits, a couple Nigerian Dwarf goats, and a small flock of ducks.

But expanding our tiny hobby farm to grow a full blown homestead became increasingly inevitable as time went on and we fell more and more in love with what we were doing..

We strive for quality over quantity, and have immense pride in what we do. Every product we sell is hand-crafted by our family exclusively - never outsourced. A majority of our ingredients and supplies are locally sourced at a minimum and home grown if possible.

Our animals are meticulously maintained and given the highest quality life we can possibly offer. They give us so much, and we never fail to show them our appreciation. We provide quality locally milled feed, on-site vet care, constant attention, and fresh pastures every couple of days.

Currently, we run goats, sheep, pigs, rabbits, ducks, peacocks, and have a few free loading stragglers around the farm.

Our goats are used for primarily dairy, but do provide meat occasionally. Our sheep are bred for meat, as well as our ducks, rabbits, pigs, and occasionally peacocks,

Nothing goes to waste around here - what we don't eat or grind into dog and cat food is processed into other useful things. We make goat's milk soaps, lotions, and shampoo bars with extra milk and tan hides to create durable, quality leather products like bags and clothing. Feathers are saved and used in art and quill pen making. We take pride in being sustainable and low waste.
